Hard chrome plating provided by Metalife Industries, a Company with 48 years experience, has remarkable properties compared to traditional chrome plating. Metalife provides three lines of plating TDC hard chrome plating, MLP hard chrome plating and TDCflash chrome plating, each is unique, but all have some great advantages over standard hard chrome plating.

• Metalife's hard chrome plating will not separate from the base metal. The superior bond eliminates flaking and cracking seen with traditional hard chrome.

• Critical edges, sharp edges and threaded edges will not be affected by any of our chrome plating.

• Our process eliminates the hydrogen embrittlement phenomenon and the need for stress relief baking after plating.

• Metalife's hard chrome plating has an increased hardness value compared to standard hard chrome, however, retains a remarkable amount of ductility and toughness.

• Our hard chrome plating will not affect critical tolerances in most cases. Standard thickness ranges from .0001" to .0002".

• Eliminates typical hard chrome grinding and polishing stages and the cost associated with these processes.
